Oral presentations

The following equipment is ready at each oral session room:

* LCD projector with a VGA cable (D-sub 15pin connector)
* PC (laptop computer, Windows 10 Professional (English Edition)) with PowerPoint 2016 and Adobe Reader DC
* Projection laser pointer

It is recommended for the presenters to bring a USB memory stick with their presentation (please make sure to run virus check before bringing the data) and copy your presentation file to the PC equipped in each session room. Please use your presentation number and your family name as the presentation file name, for example, “M1A-01Smith”. It is the presenter’s responsibility to check all the presentation slides as early as possible at any break well before the relevant session. The file must be compatible with Microsoft PowerPoint or Adobe Acrobat Reader on Microsoft Windows indicated above.

In case you use your own laptop, connection to the projector must be tested before your session starts. You are requested to bring necessary adapters (e.g. USB-VGA display adapter) to connect the VGA cable (there are no adapters available at the conference site). Please be sure to test and check all the presentation slides in advance to make sure they will work properly.

The time allotted to each oral presentation will be:

  • Keynote talks : 40 min. (including 5 min. discussion)
  • Invited talks : 30 min. (including 5 min. discussion)
  • Contributed papers : 15 min. (including 5 min. discussion)

Poster presentations

The poster board is approx.

90 cm wide and 210 cm high

The poster boards are consecutively numbered, and presenters are requested to post their poster according to the allotted number given in the poster session part of the program. Pushpins will be provided onsite.

Please clearly display the paper title, author names, and affiliations on the poster.

Poster sessions are scheduled on Tuesday, August 22 from 15:30 to 17:30. You may start putting up your posters on August 22 after 11:00 a.m. All posters must be up by the session starts and must be removed by 18:30 p.m. on the same day. ICO-24 assumes no responsibility for posters left up beyond 18:30 p.m. Any posters that are not removed at that time will be discarded.

[No Show Policy]
If none of the authors make the presentation or put up the poster without a notice to the secretariat in advance, the program committee will treat the paper as “No Show” paper, which will be posted in the on-line program.
